I booked a van online with Pace Van Hire for 23–26 August. After confirming my booking, I was contacted by staff member Ayub R. A., who told me I would need to pay an extra “Carnival insurance” fee. This fee was not shown online or in any written terms I received. Ayub confirmed it’s not in their policy and is just “something we do.” When I refused to pay, my booking was cancelled. Pace Vans have been absolutely amazing I will never use anyone else. After moving my belongings to my new house I realised at 11pm I had left a very valuable handbag on the dashboard of the van. After a sleepless night, I contacted Brian & Kieron at 7.30am before they had even opened and they got back to me!! They found it for me and kept it safe.
