Pros: -Some of the 'clinicians' know what they are doing. Most don't (too young and inexperienced) -Services are government covered -They have a few group options Cons; -Horrifically under-funded..they must not be meeting their numbers or something and getting the plug pulled... -Poorly managed -Very very dated approach. Not harm reduction. Addiction focused without looking at the big picture
Poorly run, management has no care for clients. They do not listen for feedback or hear concerns before making decisions.
I was with Paarc for a number of years. Then all of a sudden my social worker quit and paarc was done with me! They were to assign me a new worker but to no avail. I left hundreds of messages with the manager and coordinator who helped with my housing paper work. She never returned my calls. I was thrown out like a piece of trash. I wonder why??? What have I done wrong to deserve this bad treatment?? Smh what non sense! 🤦♀️
The worker was so unsupportive and stressed me out that I ended up in hospital in emergency and missed a potential job interview. Worker intimates me so I can't express how I really feel or get proper help with your problems. The workers are just parrots that say scripted lines learned in school. Also they have no life experience so can't relate and will offend u without even being aware of it. I avoid the worker as much as possible bc how horrible of a job she did.
