I purchased a vehicle from this car lot back in March 2019. At that time my pay periods were every other week. I paid my payments timely. In March 2020. My company moved all employees to Contract status so we only would get paid on the 5th and 20th of each month. I contacted Public on April 4, 2020 regarding change in my pay periods and was told to email a copy of my contract with my employer and they would fix in their system change or pay dates so I would stay timely. This morning I get a phone call from Public Automotive in Waco Tx. Carlos advises me that my payment did not draft and basically it was a collection call. My issue and I am very upset about it, is that they changed their auto payment system. Sent a text message, not a call, to have you re set up auto pay. I did that and both early payments for July drafted with no issues. He goes on to say it is not set up and that he can help me with that today, with a 3.99 convience fee. Conveniencec fee? Liars and con-artists. The weekend that i bought my car it almost caught on fire, upon further investigation i find NO bolts holding/attaching the radiator, bolts missing form upper intake manifold, both fromt end wheel bearing assemblies were shot, Paid for the repairs out of my own pocket , around 1,600$$. Life goes on.... I bought a car from the Palestine Lot on April 13 2018. 3 days after leaving lot rear ends goes out. The fixed it I guess and added to my car price I guess thats why after nearly a year and a half I still owe almost 9000 dollars with payments at 239.00 every 2 weeks. About 2 months ago I let them know that the car was messing up. GM said he would fix it and pay for it. Dissatisfied with the “new management” as they refer to it. I was late 3 days and my payment is $200 bi weekly. I was trying to make a partial payment of $100, then next week I would follow that up with $300. They told me they don’t accept partial payments. I tried explaining my situation to them, about my husbands child support increasing. They said that wasn’t just a surprise we should have had notice it was increasing. I went in last Monday because my cars power steering went out. Of course I was blown off by the person in the front office (Skylar, maybe?) by him telling me he has to talk to the person that sets up appointments with the mechanics. I called back the following Wednesday to check on this and got told I would receive a call from the no named person that does this by the end of the day. Here we are a week later and NOTHING. HORRIBLE customer service. The agent I spoke with Andy ****e was rude and condescending. He stated he was head of insurance, when I asked him for the corporate office number, he said I was speaking to them. Clearly that is 2 different offices, he then hung up in my face. 

Business response:

Immediately upon answering the phone the customer was belligerent and swearing. Company policy states that both the borrower and co-borrower are to be listed on the insurance policy. The customer was never told otherwise. Upon being given this news the customer became even more irate and irrational. There is only one corporate office and one number to that office.
