The stair chair was professionally installed and has worked almost perfectly every since. The only problem was that nobody told me the chair had to be parked right at the end of the travel. I was in hospital for a couple of weeks and when I came home, I found the stair chair batteries were flat and had to be replaced. This occurred at a weekend at great expense. Would highly recommend stannah chair lift - the communication, installation, staff, everything would highly recommend them all - our stair lift works well - fits in nicely with the wooden stairs - 10/10!!
Installing a stairlift is a great way to transport items upstairs. However, it require holding a button to move, which is inconvenient—since you can't use both hands to carry things, you end up making multiple trips. A foot-operated button would help, but an even better solution would be an auto-switch function: press the button once to start moving, and the stairlift stops automatically at the top or bottom. This way, you can ride hands-free and carry more in a single trip.
My experience with PR King & Sons has been extremely disappointing. Every time there is an issue with my lift, it takes them weeks to send a technician, despite lifts being an essential service that should have 24-hour support. Unfortunately, PR King & Sons only operates during business hours (Monday to Friday), and if you get stuck outside of these hours, their only advice is to call the fire brigade. Their service fees are also excessive—charging a minimum of $450 per visit, even if the technician spends only five minutes ... read more
