Today at approximately 12:30 PM, I was entering eastbound I-290 from the Mannheim Road ramp. As I began merging, there was sufficient space between my vehicle and the car behind me in the lane I was entering. The Ozinga truck (#2463) was initially in the adjacent lane, not in the lane I was merging into, so there was no immediate conflict. Further ahead, the two lanes eventually merge into one.
