Made my Top 5 Food Experiences of All Time! – It had been several years since we had been down to the 'Chuck Drive. But we were definitely up for some fresh oysters and having worked hard (driving through the rain from Portland heading to Vancouver, BC) we deserved a treat. The Oyster Creek did not disapoint. In a word it was spectacular! From the farm fresh Kumamotos, and the unbelievable Pacifics to the Oysters Gratinee, I knew it was going to be special, like we were in Bowfingers in Paris. What I was not prepared for was... read more
If only the food was as good as the view – The location is spectacular, and the ample windows maximize your enjoyment of the waterfall and the creek. Unfortunately the food is not equal to the ambiance. While the food is ok, it is not as wonderful as the price would imply. Stop in for a drink and enjoy the view. Then go to Chuckanut Mannor or The Oyster Bar when you want good food.

subsiquent to this review the restaurant was closed for almost 2 years, under went a complete remodel and has new owners!
WAS the most fabulous place to celebrate a special occassion, or a wonderful day, or... – Today was a very sad day for me. I took two visiting friends down beautiful Chuckanut Drive to my favorite restaurant, The Oyster Creek Inn, only to find it closed and for sale. I called my foodie son, whose first request upon arrival in Seattle was to go to the Oyster Creek Inn and his reply was, "Oh no, this is a tragedy!" I told local friends who were as saddened as I. There is nothing to compare in the area to the Oyster Creek Inn.

New owners re-launching this beautiful restaurant on 1-27-10
My girlfriend and I were in the area, and hungry, so we stopped there to check it out. I was surprised by the prices, which are higher than most restaurants, but we stayed because the waitress was friendly and they had fresh oysters. Indeed, the pan-fried oysters were the best I have ever eaten. Theyre aqua-farmed nearby. They had no sand or bits of shell in them, were sweet, tender, absolutely delicious, and arranged beautifully on the plate. The clam chowder was perfection in a bowl. Our waitress was friendly (as I mention... read more

Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food! – The only other review for the Oyster Creek Inn is not a review about it but rather a review of the Oyster Bay Bar, down the road a piece. The Oyster Creek Inn boasts a gorgeous view of the woods and a small waterfall and creek! The atmosphere is lovely, (with linen), the service impeccable and every dish we've eaten there (numerous times) has been simply delicious! Don't leave without tasting the vanilla creme brulee! Yum. The Oyster Creek Inn is one of our favorite places to dine. ... read more
Business response:
totaly new concept with new owners as of 2/2010!
slow, slow, slow – 20 minutesf between courses and it was not even busy. Ordered the Boulabaisse (sp?) and it had so little fish, shrimp (1), and clams (2) in it, I was amazed that it took so long to prepare. The waitpeople have the ol' game down in repeating how wonderful the chef is, etc, etc, etc. It is a poor value. If you want a beautiful view of the bay and the water, this is definitely the place. Snuggle with a drink, then go somewhere else to eat.
