Hotel has been closed for quite some time as of 2022. Not available. Edit 05/02/2023: The old Oyo appears to be under construction... perhaps it will be open again with some [badly needed] updates. Originally a Holiday Inn, its been standing for around 50 years. It's definitely time for those updates OR total demolition. Edit 08/10/2023: Appears they opted for total demolition. I've stayed here way back in 2003 . It wasn't the best place who k ow about now what conditions it's in now .
This roach and rat infested crack haven is currently being prepared for demolition. What used to be the glorious Holiday Inn from Brownwood’s better days will be flattened to make way for probably more title loan stores and fried food eateries although hoping for a bourgeois bayou-side establishment.
