I purchased a replacement battery from the service center and took it home for installation. I was told that I would be charged the core fee and could get that refunded when I return the old battery. This is a standard that I expected as I have changed out batteries on my vehicle before. When I returned the battery, I was charged AGAIN for the core replacement and then they refunded that charge instead of refunding me the original fee. The wait for an oil change and tire rotation was 2-1/2 hours - and this was a scheduled service. Killed my afternoon.
I’ve been with Toyota for over 20 years and very disappointed with the last service. I took my RAV4 for the recall of the battery holder. During my service visit for my 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, the staff broke two of the skid plate's bolts. Despite informing them of the issue and asking for caution, on my next visit they simply failed to reinstall the bolts, losing the parts and leaving the skid plate loose. This negligence is not only unprofessional but also created a serious safety hazard. Worst of all, they never informed me of what happened.
