My husband and I were in town attending a sporting event and looked up places to eat after it was over. I saw oysters and decided we needed to try them on the half shell at least once. We ate at Hog Island Oyster Bar and we were not disappointed. The whole market was great. We picked up some fresh bleu cheese, a delicious bottle of red wine and a flavorful balsamic vinegar. Will definitely be back with the rest of our family and friends.
We had no problems parking in the lot across the street, which is free, BTW, unlike some cities. There are plenty of shops and eateries to visit and keep one busy for several hours. There's even a little fresh grocer with a variety of veggies. My favorite shops were the Napa Bookmine and The Olive Press.
I popped in to buy a few bottles of water from one of the stores here and the woman behind the counter tried telling me that I could get water "from the tap outside". Uh no bitch, I would like to BUY some CLEAN BOTTLED WATER. There's a stick so far up the Oxbow's collective ass, they can't sell a simple bottle of water without there being a problem.
