My friend was assaulted and forced out of this shop because he is Asian. Staff told him that Chinese people don't belong here. He called the police. The responding officers confirmed he was not intoxicated. When the shop was questioned, their explanation was that their bouncer was drunk, which is both untrue and not an excuse for assaulting a customer over his race. As an observer, I witnessed a deeply disturbing incident at The Owl Shop. A man of Asian descent, who appeared sober, was put in a chokehold by a bouncer and thrown to the ground without clear justification. Staff later claimed he was “too drunk,” which did not match what I saw. Such a racism store that violently choked my friend’s neck just because his an Asian. The police has tested that he is not drunk and they are simply being racist

I’ve never seen such a racist place in New England. They choked and threw an Aidan friend of mine if the ground and started saying aggressive stuff towards him. They even threatened us that they were so well-connected in the region that they could put us in jail. We’ve never experienced this kind of things before.

We love visiting here. Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The vibe is spot on for a cigar lounge. It's a must visit if you're a cigar smoker.
