Do not rent from this company. Terrible landlord, overpriced houses. He also won’t give you your security deposit back. Worst landlord in Columbia.
Landlord is a joke. Clearly doesn't know what he is doing. When I tried texting him, he never responded. Never did a walkthrough with me when I was moving out so he never assessed any damage or the condition of the room. After moving out, I kept trying to contact the landlord for my deposit back and didn't respond until 3 months later. By that point he kept lying about when he would have the deposit to me. He took $100 off my deposit for carpet cleaning and painting that I know for a fact never happened. Landlord is a crook ... read more
Definitely do not rent from this landlord. Houses are overpriced for their location & will not give deposit back even though damages are not your fault (all damages were roommates' doing). Currently in an apartment that's only a 5 min walk from campus & rent/management/maintenance are much more reasonable and friendlier. There are plenty of better options in Columbia than renting from Overton. Would give 0 stars if I could.
