Came in through Queens West ER from a beach accident. Dislocated & Broke my ankle in 3 different spots. Awaited surgery from Dr. Bellini after he snapped my broken bones back in place for a temp fix. My surgery got pushed back for a few days and Bellini referred me to Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen & his team at Island Ortho were really quick on getting me an appt for my consultation, then appt for surgery in 1 week. Dr.Reis was welcoming, took time explaining my issue, and let me know of all other routes to go if necessary in the future. Made me feel comfortable, and Knowledgeable for my medical needs.

Worst experience I've had with a doctor. Dr. Chen showed little to no concern after I injured my knee. He told me to take Advil, slapped on a knee brace, and sent me home. The pain didn’t go away, and when I came back within a week, he finally ordered an MRI — which I later found out wouldn’t be available for another 6–8 weeks. By then, my knee had already been injured for over a month. I couldn’t wait any longer, so I got surgery done on the mainland where they actually took me seriously and acted fast.
