⭐☆☆☆☆ 1/5 My experience at Westmead Hospital Outpatients (Gastroenterology Clinic C) was extremely disappointing. Me and my husband arrived on time, but the hospital layout and signage made it almost impossible to find the correct reception desk. The appointment letter gave no clear directions, and inside the hospital there are multiple reception desks with no indication of which one is for Clinic C. I have an appointment this morning at the fracture clinic, and dreading going. This is my second time, the first time I got there early for my 9.30am appointment after walking on crutches I waited over an hour. I was finally called then lead into a room asked to lay down. After half an hour an intern looked at me said nothing walked out left me waiting again then another came in removed bandages from where I was operated. I was then told I can go. I was in and out of the fracture clinic in 3/4 hour. In that time I was led to the X-ray department, the X-rays were reported on and I was seen by a senior registrar who told me the results, checked me, gave advice and checked I was having appropriate follow up with physio. I have been impressed with Westmead Hospital ever since my accident - every department has been kind, helpful and patient and I have felt heard. They are extremely thorough and I have had wonderful care from emergency, surgery and follow up.
