Beware. We made a big mistake trusting Michael Soares of Outlerly with our brand new van. Not only was much of the work shoddy and incompetent but he was unprofessional and dishonest. We had numerous issues including 3 major leaks in the roof and electric and water pump issues. After he said he fixed the leak and personally water tested it it leaked even worse than before. Michael and his team did a full conversion on my brand new Sprinter van. It is exactly what I had asked for, on schedule and on budget. This is my second van conversion and it is so much better than mediocre build by a well known company in Oregon. I am so proud of this van. I paid Outerly $170,000 to build my custom campervan and 3 weeks after taking possession, there are numerous failures due to unacceptable build quality, and gross negligence including electrical failures that are catastrophic and dangerous. The owner has been non-responsive in returning my calls, texts, and emails. After contacting his supplier, Victron, Mike finally responded, stating he would reimburse me for the repairs. Mike did a very good job installing lighting with a SPOD controller on my grill and roof rack. He also installed Roambuilt side steps and a brush guard. He replaced a water pump and adjusted a tricky cabinet. Overall, he was reasonably responsive and best on text. He has lots of experience in electrical, heating, water systems, so perfect for tricky diagnosis and repair. I'd use again.
Looking forward to working with Mike on my Japanese fire trucks in the future. His craftsmanship and creativity is amazing to watch and not just in van building & customization but wood working/ house hold construction. This guy puts his mind to something he just gets it done to perfection.
