I don’t often give negative reviews however, upon arrival, our rental was not cleaned properly. Trash was found in numerous places IN the home. The beds looked like they had been slept in and sheets not washed/ stains were very noticeable. Dishes still had food caked on them! Stayed for only 2 nights due to mandatory evacuations, and was informed that regardless of purchasing travel insurance or not we would not be refunded or offered the opportunity to book another week. The pictures on the rental page are not recent. We rented a house in Salvo and we were extra excited by the pictures because the house featured many amenities! Upon arrival, it was clear that these pictures were old. The house featured a pool table, hot tub, foosball table, air hockey, an arcade, and a basketball net. Upon arrival, the house had 2 pool cues and one of them was cracked in half. The grill was disgusting and the handle on it was broken. I recently wrote a review for a home in Waves NC (Feelin Nauti) and complained how filthy the home was. To date they have not posted that review. I’m assuming they only post 4+ stars. So disappointing. I can’t imagine why any homeowner would use them to manage their property. I’ll never rent from them again.

If you see a rental from Vacasa STAY AWAY!!! My family and I rented a home from Vacasa in Kill Devil Hills and when we arrived the home looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Dust completely coated the fan and light fixtures. The rug hadn’t been vacuumed and there was food crumbs and dog treats stuck in the carpet. The floor was dirty.
