COP did a great job organizing their first KCBO. LOVED the route! Scenery was beautiful! I only did the Saturday ride but next year I hope to be able to do the entire weekend.
Knox County Biketoberfest was excellent in all aspects. Friendly helpful people everywhere. Roads & routes well marked. Aid stations well stocked. Information updates on my phone every morning. Beautiful setting. Food vouchers happily honored at a variety of vendors. OP checked every box. It was a great experience! Thank you!
First time doing a ride like this, and it was very apparent that this wasn’t their first rodeo. They did such a great job of providing everything we needed. An through throughout the event, there was constant communication through text messaging which helped.
I have done three different bike tours with them now - GOBA several times, Biketober Fest just recently, and TOSRV several years ago - and thoroughly enjoyed most of them. The one time I had a less than great experience, I wrote to Outdoor Pursuits and received a thoughtful and appreciative response and the issues I had were addressed. Great location, right on the OTET, and hotel right on the trail also, as well as other options. I wanted some hills and the 100 mi. Did not disappoint. The tomato soup after the ride was the best I've had especially with the fixn's. One suggestion, use a color other than white for the road markings because the highway department had s lot of white markings that made the arrows harder to pick out or notice.
