My dog suddenly had severe diarrhea and vomiting. I tried to wait until Monday to get her into her regular vet but the severity progressed and I couldn’t watch her be in pain. After calling around and being denied care from the two other emergency vets due to availability, Out West said to come in. I only waited about 20 minutes to go back with my dog into the consult. I would give ZERO stars if I could! This place is an absolute JOKE. I called the night of 08/05/2025 explaining that my 5 month old puppy was lethargic and looked like he was struggling to breathe and I was told to head that way (I was coming from Conway) and what the fee would be upfront. She then proceeded to tell me to “give her a second”… after being on hold for 10 minutes (which after flying down the interstate and was getting off cantrell) was then told they “don’t have room to go to Memphis or Springdale”.. My dog had a bad allergic reaction over the weekend and broke out in awful hives all over her face, head, and body. Over the years I have been to a few emergency vets.. Including the other two options in LR. Outwest was HANDS DOWN the most affordable of the three and also the quickest to get us in. My dog was seen immediately. Everyone there was nice and the vet was very thorough and answered all of my questions, she was great!! Out of all vets in a 50 mile radius, this was the only one that was open. After calling numerous times hoping for an answer, finally someone picked up. While bawling on the phone that we believe my dog had bloat and needed to get her seen asap, we were told “sorry try springdale or fort smith”, both of which are 4 hours away. Luckily I was able to get information about Pallones in Rosebud and we hopped right in the car to try and beat the clock on however long we may have with our baby before the GDV got the best of her. 0 s... read more
