I've eaten at Eugenia a few times and the food was delicious. I love the spanakopita, one of my favorite dishes in the world. Last time I was there, I had a salad with arugula, beets, walnuts, orange, and feta that was absolutely delicious. The service was good. The restaurant has a clean, pleasant decor. Our Mom Eugenia Nails the Octopus Friends steered us to Our Mom Eugenia in Shirlington, and the meal landed somewhere between genuinely memorable and frustratingly uneven. The salads started well. The Greek salad was crisp and fresh, with enough feta to give each bite salt and richness without burying the vegetables. A strawberry salad special was equally bright and clean. I love this place. We hosted a luncheon after my mom's funeral at Our Mom Eugenia last week (as well as the luncheon after my father's funeral 3 years ago). On both occasions, the service, food, and atmosphere were excellent. Demetri and his team really took care of us. On such an emotional day, I am truly thankful.
