They will do ANYTHING to scam you from your rental deposit. Completely unacceptable. Normal wear and tear.
Highly advise against renting from this company. You will never get your damage deposit returned and will use the tenancy board to get all repairs/maintenance covered at your expense.
The apartment was nice enough, but after ending tenancy there they deemed us responsible for painting 85-90% of their unit, ruining their baseboards, as well as $500 cleaning fee for “crumbs and dog hair.” After going to the tenancy board and small claims court these charges were lowered, but predatory behaviour nonetheless.
Applied for a viewed a place that was coming up for rent, everything was fine up till the viewing and then after waiting for close to a week for a response to my multiple emails, I decided to call the woman who we did the viewing with. And without reaching out to us they decided that we had too many vehicles to park the place. (3 plus a work van) which I understand. But they clearly have no problem solving skills as I could have left the van somewhere else, (which I told her over the phone.) She said we will get back to you.... read more
