Our Community Bikes is a radical and inclusive non-profit. Empowering people with tools and knowledge. Service Shop, Instructional Space, New & Used Parts, and affordable used bicycles. Do-It-Yourself (DIY) bicycle repair (Saturday evenings, 4th Wed each month), WTQ nights (1st and 3rd Wed evenings), Bike Club (Tuesdays 4-6pm), Deaf Access (3rd Tues 6:30-9:30pm). I had an outstanding experience at Our Community Bikes thanks to Shop Manager Laine Hughes. He listened to my plans over email, picked out the perfect 1991 Rocky Mountain Expert, and dialed in the fit before I stopped by. Cruising Vancouver’s seawall, Gastown, and Kitsilano on that classic Cr-Mo frame—complete with my custom Lesenok bar bag—felt like pure joy. What a cool concept! I needed to replace a broken brake lever and went to a couple bike shops but they only sold the entire brake sets. The shops recommended Our Community Bikes to find just the small part I needed and for cheaper so I went to check it out. I was so happy to find organized buckets of almost all the bike parts you can imagine!! I had an outstanding experience with David and Cavan at Our Community Bikes. I brought in a vintage Trek Antelope 800 that I’d bought second-hand from Craigslist, and the brakes were completely shot. Even though Cavan was about to leave for the day, he made sure David took care of me. David was incredibly knowledgeable and honest. I've been bringing our family bikes to this shop for the last few years and have always been happy with their service. Wonderful inclusive vibe. Great space for DIY'rs. And for full service- Very knowledgeable accessors providing detailed price breakdowns and explanations to work within your budget.
