Made an appointment for 12pm, confirmed it the day before and un arrival the receptionist, told me it was for 1pm. Then was condescending while informing a stylist assistant that I was there an hour early so to get to me when she could. I was taken aback by how flippant she said "dont worry, we aren't going to kick you out" with an eye roll. I appreciate that the salon canceled my appointment rather than proceeding with a service they weren’t equipped to provide. However, I’m extremely disappointed that a salon specializing in curly hair would advertise that they work with “all hair types” when they do not work with Type 4 hair. If you specialize in curly hair, that should include the full range of curl patterns, including Type 4. TERRIBLE SERVICE. I used go to this place every time I’m in town because I’ve always loved their conditioning treatment, but unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I won’t be returning. I called to reschedule my conditioning treatment for a different day and asked for the latest available appointment. Since they close at 5:00, I asked if 4:30 was available. Very poor customer service. I called to book an appointment, and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and dismissive. Since I’ve never had a hair treatment done before, I had a few questions about their curly-hair services, which I think is completely reasonable for a first-time customer. Chadwick always does amazing haircuts on my sons curly hair! It always looks good and is easy for him to maintain until time for his next fabulous haircut! We would highly recommend Ouidad as you will always receive great service!
