I have enjoyed my stay at Otterbein. The house I'm in is very friendly and supportive. My aides are the best!
Fun, happy people that are easy to get along with and a happy atmosphere.
This campus is smaller, 5 ,,,individual houses with up to 12 residents. The Aides are overworked because management is hiring 17-year-olds who cannot touch the machines used to transfer us . The care is there just delayed. Overall this facility is not perfect, but very nice. Good care, good food and good friends! Everyone is welcomed and respected upon arrival.
My Mom was at Otterbein for 3 months after suffering a stroke. She didn't want to leave, even to move closer to home! She felt very comfortable there and really got to know the staff and other residents well. We loved the unique setup with the central rehab/dining/living/learning area and rooms along the perimeter (ensuring all residents had lots of natural light). The nurses, therapists, aides and all staff were very personable and really got to know my Mom and all of her frequent visitors. We truly felt they cared about us... read more
