The staff are the most caring and generous people I have ever met, their positivity radiates throughout the whole building and really helped me while I was struggling. Not all heroes wear capes is true, the Ottawa withdrawal management centre is the perfect example, my heart goes out to them! They work so hard and it’s because they genuinely care about and want to help the people they’re helping! Hats off to the staff! You guys are phenomenal human beings!
My experience while detoxing from substances (legal and illegal) was positive at the OWMC that deserves 5-stars. Having been there more times than I can count, self-admittedly, I was met by ALL staff with an unconditional level of acceptance for myself, despite my challenges with addiction, and immediately felt like I was at home. If any of you rated this place as 1 star I invite you to detox in London Ontario at the salvation army. The meals are better but everything else is abysmal comparatively. This place will help you if you want it. Sure breakfast isn't the best but they give you one. Other meals are banging tho.
