I have been playing in different OSSC sport leagues for nearly 10 years now. They offer a wide variety of sports on different nights making it easy to find time. It's very well organized. The game coordinators are above and beyond. I highly recommend OSSC for teams/individuals looking to play!
My wife and I signed up for the summer beach volleyball drills sessions. However, there was no OSSC instructor to be found when we showed up at the venue at the designated time for the initial session in July. After searching around the premises for a while, we found a helpful staff member, who looked into the issue for us and eventually came to the conclusion that OSSC must have cancelled the course due to not getting enough people who signed up for it. WARNING: Do not play in the Ottawa Sport & Social Club. The league is a disaster. The matches are held all over the city and sometimes it is a pain to even find the location of the match. In the current season there were either super dirty locker rooms or the changing room was locked. Our team is now wearing their sports cloth before the match under their normal cloth. The fields are in a bad state and one of your team members even injured his hand (bleeding wound) at a broken piece of plastic on court. The refs didn't care ... read more
What a horrible experience. Leave the house with 15 cm of snow, drive 30 minutes just to arrive to a place where everyone is waiting outside the venue for 30 minutes at -10° because no one inside knew we were playing. The instructor didn’t even have the permit on him so the custodian would allow us entrance. After 45 minutes of waiting, we’re finally in!
