Mike and team did great work on our project.
I'm a Taper who had been previously hired by Mike Papatzimas to take care of a large project that he was running last year. I was to take care of all the Taping, Sanding and Prime-Check for the project. We had discussed and both agreed on a price for the work to be done. I would spend the next few weeks Taping and Sanding, and we would meet up at the house after I had finished. Last year, I hired this company for exterior carpentry work and painting. The carpentry work was good, however the painting was not (paint on my heritage brick home, paint splotches left on the driveway, etc). I sent Mike emails with photos of the corrections. He responded that he would correct the work and complete the job (some areas were not painted). I followed up several times, however he stopped responding. I will update my review if the corrections are made.
I hired Mike at OCC to build a new staircase at a rental property in Ottawa. I, myself live in BC so hiring someone to do work on my property in Ottawa and not being able to check the work was not ideal but Mike had good reviews. He completed the work on time and on budget. After receiving pictures of the staircase from my property manager, I was disappointed to see the work was shoddy and not done using best practices. Mike and the team did a fantastic job on installing floating shelves and cabinets in our living room, as well as running cables behind the drywall. The team was flexible with our plans and really respectful, taking time to clean our home as they worked. They were also so great with our dog (always a bonus!) HIGHLY recommend!
