With power going out so frequently it's like living under the old USSR and the increasing cost adds insult to injury. Last week their crew came around and cut down a lot of heavy branches and then left. I have called 2x asking for someone to remove these branches. Ist I was told someone would ""but they are shorthanded" (what excuse did organizations give before the pandemic?). Everyone needs to realize how hard these guys work! Keeping your power on is serious business and not as easy as you may think. All you whiners should go over to nyseg see what your bill is then. Im grateful for my OEC electric company! Especially Steve Stickler who has gone above and beyond to keep our power on. Thank you Steve!!
Wish I could give a zero, I guess arching at the transformer is not a big deal to Otsego Electric. There was a branch on the wires by the transformer and 2 hrs later a truck showed up. Apparently they had wires down elsewhere but maybe they should have crews working in other locations not just location riding around staying dry. You get no where by calling the office.
Garbage harassing me last month weeks before the shut off date. I never have power but they installed internet but they don't groom the lines it's all I'll get rich I'm a narcissist ppl don't matter
Calling for 20 minutes straight and a busy signal. This is 2025 not sure how a business has a busy signal let alone for 20 minutes straight
