It is a storefront on South Water Street in Providence RI at the foot of College Hill and East Side neighborhood. The street is lined with a mix of beautiful historic houses and commercial properties and some modern properties. We were there to enjoy Waterfire along the Michael van Leeston Pedestrian Bridge. Bife a casa 40$ ? Arroz doce 14$ ??? Where do people draw the line.
Never left a bad review for a restaurant before, but me and my parents had to wait 2 hours for our entrees to come out after ordering right when we sat down (supposedly a server error), did not receive one of the appetizers that we ordered, and our food was cold and burnt when we finally got it. After expressing these grievances, nothing was offered to be comped off of our bill, and we simply got a “sorry for your experience”. I neglected to get names of the server or the bussers, however they both did a fantastic job, the server was knowledgeable and able to help me make my husband's birthday special, and the busser was very attentive the entire dinner as well, my husband drinks a lot of water, and not once was his glass empty or was he kept waiting, they even swept up the crumbs from the tabletop as well, all in all a terrific place that we will be coming back to.
Absolutely fantastic experience. I lived four years in Spain and they have really nailed it. Felt at home. Did the calamari and the croquetas to start which was perfect then a paella. The croquetas were the right amount of crispy and came with really good homemade sauces. The paella was absolutely cooked to perfection. The wine menu had a great range and variety between Spanish and Portuguese wines, they really nail that. Matthew was our server, and he was awesome.
