Exceptional menu with the small plates section as the highlight.
Had the Tonkotsu ramen and some Yakitori. Not bad. The broth was ok, somewhat shallow flavor profile. Small amount of meat, other toppings were decent. Noodles were okay. It wasn't memorable.
Everything was fantastic! Server said the kitchen was training and it seemed like they were already very ready.
Sushi had too much wasabi in it not; even on top of it. It overpowered the sushi way too much. The chicken dish was great. The cheesecake dessert was not great. Mochi ice cream was great.
Absolutely love Ototo! We live in the neighborhood and go here frequently. I personally dream about the garlic pork rice and amberjack collar :) the staff is super friendly, service is great, food is consistent, drinks are great and the atmosphere is lovely. We also can usually walk in and get a table or seat at the bar for 2 people. I will say I mostly enjoy their small plates or big dishes over their sushi…but it’s all good!! The eel nigiri is amazing too!
