Two separate doctors have loosely diagnosed me with sleep apnea here. Want to know my symptoms? 1. Pulsatile tinnitus 2. A lump/protrusion in my neck same side I never went in for symptoms of sleep apnea and im confident neither of these conditions are caused by it. Nor do I have typical sleep apnea symptoms
I got a next day appointment with a ENT PA in Issaquah. Someone must have cancelled? My practitioner was really good, examined my throat via my nose, which sounds scary, but was fine. I’m very happy with the appt, the practitioner, the check in, and meds and referrals. They even scheduled my referral appt right then.
Disappointing at best. Waited over 30 minutes to be called back then I was told they were running late. After an hour I walked out. Guess the infamous story about a Virginia Mason resident having to call 9-1-1 for a response from a Virginia Mason ER bed is true. They don’t even tend to their own.
Like every department at Virginia Mason now, it took two months to get an appointment. I was supposed to see audiologist for a hearing test then ENT immediately after. Apparently when the scheduler booked it “immediately after” actually mean two hours later. So I never got to see an ENT. The audiologist told me the feedback I was getting from my hearing aid was my hair - I’ve had a hearing aid for six years, anyone who wears one knows the difference between your hair sounds and microphone feedback screeching in your ear.
