We went out (party of five)on a recent Friday evening and the restaurant was hosting a party of 24 in the same dining room as well! The table of 24 was very noisy . The restaurant should have been closed for the private party--it was very unfair to the other diners .
Great dinner on the Vespa patio last night with girlfriends. Jeff nailed the cocktails as usual. We shared the hummus/olives/pita plate, asparagus soup, arugula salad, Calabrian shrimp, and shaved lamb gyro - the potatoes on the side were SO good. We feasted, service was great, and the vibe is always warm and welcoming. John the owner even popped out to make a wine recommendation!
Hi We frequently dine at Vespa and have done so for the last 10 years every time we’ve come to a movie in Amherst. Consistently we have had delicious food, inventive drinks, but very disappointing service when we are seated in the area attended by a particular waiter. I took my husband to Osteria Vespa for our anniversary. The service was good and the food was delicious. We had the gluten free focaccia, the burrata caprese salad and the pork tenderloin Saltimbocca. The gluten free focaccia came out nice and hot, it was soft and pillowy with a wonderful crispy crust.
