Great dinner on the Vespa patio last night with girlfriends. Jeff nailed the cocktails as usual. We shared the hummus/olives/pita plate, asparagus soup, arugula salad, Calabrian shrimp, and shaved lamb gyro - the potatoes on the side were SO good. We feasted, service was great, and the vibe is always warm and welcoming. John the owner even popped out to make a wine recommendation!
Hi We frequently dine at Vespa and have done so for the last 10 years every time we’ve come to a movie in Amherst. Consistently we have had delicious food, inventive drinks, but very disappointing service when we are seated in the area attended by a particular waiter. I took my husband to Osteria Vespa for our anniversary. The service was good and the food was delicious. We had the gluten free focaccia, the burrata caprese salad and the pork tenderloin Saltimbocca. The gluten free focaccia came out nice and hot, it was soft and pillowy with a wonderful crispy crust. Food was very tasty, drinks were decent. Service was horrible. Our waiter really ruined our evening. My 3 sisters and I went there for dinner after her baby shower. My sister is an alum of UMASS and said that this restaurant was really nice, but had not been in a while. Our waiter approached us like a bunch of young college kids, we are all almost 40.
