Had some hype with this being a Michelin, but food was meh. Felt like a number vs. them being grateful I’m a patron. I got spoiled at peche and would prefer that place much more. The blue crab pasta had minimal crab meat and over addition of Parmesan. It was almost inedible. My dessert had a strange string thing in it. They just switched it out for a different dessert and nothing was comped which is not the process I’ve experienced before. Only good thing was my mocktail.
Lots of good stuff in the menu. The tasting menu is fun especially if you can't decide what to get. I really liked the arancini. The gemelli pasta with duck and arugula is very good. The pasta with short rib is a bit too spicy. The molten cake is great. The caramel cream they make with it really makes the dessert stand out.
I was very excited to try this restaurant as I’d heard great things about all of their dishes, but was unfortunately underwhelmed. The decorations were great, but it was very loud even though they were not packed. We also didn’t order any alcohol but were double charged on all of our soda orders. No one mentioned a Diet Coke was $14. The food was good, though, so not a bad place, it just didn’t meet the hype.
