I mounted Mr. Newman's deer 2 years ago. He did not like it, I put a pair of my own antlers on it and I am proudly displaying it on the wall in my shop. Now: 1) yes, the lips are cut too long and I thank Mr. Newman for pointing that to me, so I could improve my work. 2) when I get to do a deer, first measure, then try the cape on some of the forms I always have in the shop, I do not cut the capes to fit the form, but order forms to fit the capes, so what the gentleman says here is b.s. 3) the euros smell a little until compl... read more

If you value your trophy, avoid this taxidermist at all costs. I had him complete a euro mount and a shoulder mount for me. The euro mount was of very poor quality. There is obvious oils still in the skull causing numerous yellow spots where the bone should be clean white and it smelled horrible. I have had quite a few euro mounts done at other taxidermist. Every single one is at a minimum, twice the quality for the same price. The shoulder mount was absolutely horrendous. The deer was a 200lb 138inch 8 point. The form that ... read more
