Blister in gum; dr. pena performed surgery; whatever he did, it resolved issue so I would definitely go back to him again. He seems to need the business since he was willing to accommodate me on the Friday morning the same week. Only cons were he does not explain what he is going to do though he does ask questions asked. When I asked for reason why blister happened in spite of my excellent dental hygine, he just shrugged and said he did not know. I've had a couple of root canals before and I can say that Dr. Pena and his staff were so professional and just made the overall visit extremely pleasant. He has a great staff that is helpful and friendly. I would NEVER go to anyone else but Dr. Pena!
I was given way too much novacaine. I couldn't speak for hours, not just because my mouth was numb but my soft palate and the rest of my throat muscles. It was quite scary since speaking is my livelihood and I had never been numbed to that extreme and have had a tremendous amount of work done on my mouth over the years. His cost was higher than most in the area.
Dr. Pena is a fabulous endodontist with patient comfort and treatment success his main concern. I refer all of my patients to him knowing that they are in the best hands available. He is very caring with patients and always gets patients in who need treatment the same day. I have sent patients to other endodontists and have not been as pleased with the outcomes and patient experiences as I have with Dr. Pena. He really goes the extra mile to explain treatments. We were overcharged by $800 as Dr. Pena was unable to perform a root canal on a tooth he had previously assured my husband he could work on. We paid by credit card. Instead of cancelling the sale and recharging the corrected amount, the Staff at Dr. Pena's office sent the sale through for 850.00, then said they would credit our card for 800.00 -- which seems backassward to me.
