This review is long overdue. My husband has been seeing Dr. Amro for around 5-6 years now. We LOVE him. I’m an anesthesia provider and there is a very small amount of physicians that I would trust with my loved ones. I trust him completely. I find his diagnostic skills and responsiveness to be on point. We tried several doctors before getting to him and so many weren’t as knowledgeable as they should be. Have been having a really tough time with lupus nephritis after weeks of uncomfortably high blood pressure and extreme weight gain from edema. Dr. Amro and his team was on top of it and got me treatment right away. He listened to all my concerns, listened to my story and journey with lupus so far, and worked with me to find the best treatment and I felt optimistic and hopeful leaving his office. “Well I’m the kidney expert” Literally one of the least helpful doctor I’ve ever been to. He basically blew off the fact that I have 8 tumors in my kidneys, didn’t ask if we should test for TSC (a rare genetic disorder causing tumors..in the kidney). He only suggested I get an MRI after 6 months, which is silly because he has no idea what the growth rate of the tumors is, except I didn’t have them in 2014 and now I do.
