As a lawyer in Canada trying to sell an apartment of a deceased client, I was not familiar with the process in Washington D.C. Orysia Stanchak handled all aspects very professionally. Not only did she arrange for needed repairs, staging and all other aspects of the transaction, including dealing with the condominium corporation, municipal taxes etc. but she was always available for consultation and advice. I would highly recommend her services.
Orysia did a fantastic job helping us find a place in Bethesda. We were traveling from far away and Orysia made sure to make optimal use of our time in Maryland, devoting several weekends to our search. Once we selected a place, Orysia kept us informed about key dates, made sure we understood each document, and walked us through the entire process. I would definitely use Orysia again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a home.
I cannot recommend Orysia enough! She was sooooo patient with me (for years!) and insisted that I be sure and love my home. She was extremely responsive and communicative and must be one of the most competent people I know. Having Orysia Stanchak as your realtor is like having your friend be your realtor if your friend is a real estate whiz. Orysia sold my condo in record time, given the sluggish market. She marshaled the fixers-uppers to highlight the best features of the condo, all the while keeping the momentum of the sale process going. It took a month from the one open house to settlement! Even so, I received two bids above the asking price.
Orysia faced a challenging situation when we met. I was not an enthusiastic shopper for a new condo, due to circumstances I was forced to leave my comfortable, modern condo in a Virginia suburb for a location closer to my daughter and son-in-law in Chevy Chase, MD.
