Dr. Whittum is wonderful. I had needed some surgery, however due to some pre-op blood tests, some other issues showed up and I needed to postpone the hand surgery. When I went to my pre-op appointment with him and had to cancel the surgery, he was very understanding. He had spent time with me for two appointments, listened to me, explained things to me, and was very courteous and professional. Because I could not have the surgery and he gave me a cortisone shot that did relieve the pain.

Dr. Whittum actually injected me with cortisone in the wrong place. This was due to a combination of his poor communication skills and haste to move as quickly as possible through the appointment. If you are looking for a doctor who cares, look elsewhere.
