I was referred here by my PCP for knee pain. I saw Dr. Mudd's NP. They took a couple of x-rays, she came in the room said I had avascular necrosis (dead bone), I needed to be on cruthches and she was going to schedule total knee replacement surgery..........I was in shock, TKR at 48 years old is young. I was also in shock regarding the dead bone, I asked if we could get more imaging, she had to go ask and they reluctantly ordered a CT Scan.
