I was so nervous about the reviews saying Dr. Malone is dismissive of injuries not related to the spine, as I was referred by "urgent care" like many others for a different reason (knee injury). He was wonderful with me, and I didn't regret my visit at all! He was so attentive and reassuring that I felt I needed to leave a review because I value reviews myself.
My husband hurt himself lifting weights and ended up going to ER due to excruciating pain. ER referred him to contact orthopedic and referred 2 Ortho's. The one Ortho scheduled the appt a week out even though I stated the intense pain my husband was in. When I called Dr. Malone's office, the young lady who answered was very helpful. She pulled up my husband's information and x-ray. Told me the doctor was not going to be in the next day but that she would call me back after speaking to the doctor. My husband was referred to him from our GP because of neck issues. The first time we went to see him, we were there for almost 2 hours and when he came in, he was rude and dismissive. He ordered an MRI and my husband proceeded to get one. The follow-up visit was for 9:30. We arrived at 9:07. His office doesn't see patients until 9 am. There were several patients ahead of us. I was referred by my local ER for extreme swelling and pain in my knee. Dr Malone blatantly told me at my first appointment that he doesn’t deal with knees, he only takes referrals from the hospitals because he has to. Rude, condescending, unempathetic and a waste of my time and his apparently. Won’t be returning.
