Really helpful place! Had a flashing check engine light, they were able to see me immediately and let me know what the problem was in minutes. The person that towed us was super kind and even brought us to our hotel :)
I was driving somewhere between Amarillo in Santa Rosa. My front left tire was making a horrible noise. I lost the bearing on the left front hub, I bumped all the into Santa Rosa caution lights on.Our vacation plans in doubt, I asked our hotel manger if there was a place that works on trucks so I could have it repaired on Monday. He told me Ortegas is open on Sunday. I called. They took me right away thank you Ortagas. You saved our vacation.
This has been one of the most disappointing and unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had with an auto repair shop. Ortega’s Auto Repair charged me $550 for a 30-mile tow and immediately tried to convince me that I needed expensive additional repairs. I specifically said the problem was just one leaking coolant hose, but they insisted it was “much more than that” and tried to upsell me. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to this company!! My son, his wife and 2 babies were broke down in the middle of the desert with a flat tire. He sat out there waiting for National Roadside Assistance to show up with a tire for over 10 hours. After several calls getting nowhere with that company, I called Ortega’s Tow Service and they were out there to pick them up in less than an hour.
