Design-Build, in my opinion, is the only way to go about a new home project and the team at Orren Pickell does this masterfully! We are still thrilled with our home 8 years later! We would confidentially recommend OPBG to anyone looking for a high-quality building project!
We had a very negative experience with Orren Pickell. TLDR: Orren Pickell promised us they could do a home extension for ~$400,000. 8 months and $25,700 later, they gave us a bid for $603,000. We engaged Orren Pickell in early 2022 to design a home addition. This initial budget presented to us at the outset of this matter was: $ 323,000.00 - $ 387,600.00. Rob walked us step by step through designing and installing our new built-in cabinets, finding various options that were within our budget. After agreeing, we finally got to see the vision in a beautifully rendered design and then work started! Rob was easy to get in touch with and was well-trusted to enter our home as his team needed based on scheduling. They came back for final touch-ups quickly and voila, our gorgeous new living room is ready to use. Thank you Rob and team!
Well… we are officially on month 11 of a 4 month project, and I’m not sure what else to say. There have been a few high points of the work and of people, but overall the work is poor and incredibly behind schedule, which is mind blowing for the price. I’m not sure why this industry doesn’t think it’s common courtesy to tell people when you will, or won’t show up… or god forbid to take ownership of mistakes when they happen rather than blaming everyone else.
