Last night's show was great. I wish a seating renovation could be done. They are very close and uncomfortable. My husband is 6'4''. He has NO leg room.
Memphis' premier venue, but built in an earlier time when apparently everyone was 5'6" and 150 lbs. I'm neither.
My daughters and I had a wonderful time last night watching It's a Wonderful Life! The sing-a-long was lots of fun and the movie was "wonderful" as always. Thank you so much for offering this experience!!
I love the Orpheum. It's fun every time I go. The Broadway season can't be beat. The summer movie series is always fun too!!
Awesome experience here! My daughter and I saw the play "Annie". Wonderful performance!
We love the orpheum and have been attending shows for decades there. Annie was a spectacular show, and my children had a wonderful time on Sunday, 12/18. I was dismayed, however, when an usher named Dayna told a fellow usher in the hallway during the show that my toddler was an asshole, and I should have gotten a babysitter for him. She saw me standing there and made no move to apologize for her insensitive and disrespectful remarks. I like seeing the positve and other than the small seats i thought it was a grand experience.....knowing it was an historical building when times n people were simpler to accommodate, made the seating more bearable awaiting intermission to stretch and felt the presence of historical musicals all around.
I love this place :) great plays with very talent actors and actresses
The Orpheum is a Memphis treasure. I'm so grateful our beautiful city has such an active beautiful and historic place for live theater.
