Beautiful venue, but seating is not good. While it seems all seats have the POSSIBILITY of being great seats, unless you are over 6 feet tall you risk being totally blocked by the person in front of you. My daughter and I drove from Jackson, Ms to see our beloved Wicked last night and left at intermission. We both had people in front of us that made it impossible to see. Very sad.
We love going to the Orpheum for the shows. It has that old world feel. The shows are always top quality, but it is an uncomfortable sitting. Tonight we watched Wicked for my birthday. The show was awesome, but I was in pain all night. The seat in front of me was broken and was leaned back about 4" further than the rest. Absolutely loved wicked! But as far as business wise. You're losing money. You need more people staffed at you're concession stands even if you pull ushers to help at that time. So much cash walked away during intermission because one person cashing and making drinks is simply not enough.
