The worst place to be to get your labs drawn. It’s always between 1-2 hours just for a 2min session. It seems like there’s always only one phlebotomist working, and sometimes they’re slow as hell. Lobby gets filled w/people so fast they can’t even keep up. 36weeks pregnant and I finished my OB appt at 11:10am, went down to get my labs drawn, checked in at 11:15 or even earlier. Beware - they will have a trainee draw your blood that has NO experience drawing blood from a living human being without getting your consent before they injure you. If the person drawing your blood doesn't know where anything is and immediately reaches for the one-piece device with a needle on a plastic shield that the sample tube connects to, you have a right as a patient to refuse and request that a more experienced phlebotomist uses the larger butterfly Saf-T wing system with a short tube between the needle and the colle... read more
