What an amazing experience, unlike many ‘souvenirs shops’ this place is just purely given over to the fundamental art of stone sculpture using Ngāi Tahu Pounamu. Even if you just stop by it’s a worthwhile experience, but I expect you wouldn’t go away without something to preserve a precious memory and making it a gift for someone in your life. The staff are attentive only when you need them and you can browse their shop with no obligation or hard sell - it’s up to you if you find a piece that clicks with you. Good luck!
