I experienced severe tinnitus shortly after having the second MRNA vaccine. As it became increasingly intolerable, I sought treatment at the Mayo Clinic. They indicated they could not surgically help me but could refer me to the top audiologist in Florida for help. They sent me to Dr. Indira Alvarez at the Ormond Hearing Center. Dr. Indira Alvarez just helped me find new hearing aids, and she did a fantastic job. She has extensive education, experience, and knowledge of all the aids on the market. I have severe hearing loss, and over a period of weeks, she patiently tried two different aids and three different types of ear molds before we found the right ones for me. You can buy hearing aids on your own or from a salesclerk at a hearing aid store, but you will never know if they are the optimal ones for your needs or be able to program them as well ... read more
Dr. Alvarez takes the time to make a personal, one-on-one connection with each patient and provides exceptional care and expertise. It is rare to find this type of doctor today and we are so lucky to have her in our community!
