He is very patient, takes his time with you and really listens to what you have to say. He makes you feel like you are his only patient. I would go as far to say, He's THE BEST! Fantastic guy. He took EXCELLENT care of my Mom and Dad for years. Their previous Dr's had them on like 8 different medications, he dropped it down to 3! They immediately started feeling better, were more active and very Thankful for all he did for them. This Man is Da BEST! His staff is Second to None!

6/1/17: My 83 year old Mom was admitted to East Jefferson Hospital 2 weeks ago for Congestive Heart Failure. Over the 6 last days there, she was coughing up blood. EJ sent her home Wednesday afternoon WITH NO MEDS although EJ knew that HOSPICE was not scheduled to arrive until THURSDAY afternoon! By 11:00 pm Wednesday Mom was so ill that the Sheriff's Office had to drive her back to EJ with PNEUMONIA! Dr. Deffer mouthed off to her at 9:00 a.m. for returning to EJ and not calling HOSPICE instead!
Dr. Deffere was the cardiologist on call and after the ER receiving lab results back at 12:09 that I was indeed having a heart attack, Dr. Deffer began treating me in the ER at 1:55. Though he gave me medication for the sever pain I was in, I remained in the ER in sever pain while suffering from a heart attack for the better part of 8 hours. A horrible experience.
Listens and explains very well. I trust him. Is cautious.
