The food was amazing. The service and staff was so welcoming. The atmosphere was good with nice views of the water. I highly recommend this restaurant. If I'm in the area again I will go back.
This 100 year old black owned restaurant is worth a visit. The food was tasty and the portions were large. We didn't have a long wait. The staff was nice and welcoming. The building is old, but I think it is the original building. The staff was nice, but sometimes didn't know whose order was whose. We didn't receive one item we ordered, but they credited our account immediately. The restrooms, another story, it is truly a water closet, and needs renovation. Definitely a must go to if you're in the area! Excellent food and atmosphere.
Recommended by a family member. Polite staff. Nice sitting view of lake. Wayyyy more food than expected. Seems to be the norm. To-go plates will be needed. Huge fan of shrimp and grits, but wanted to try the fish and grits...
