Had to go into the Emerg this past weekend because of miscarrying with extremely heavy bleeding. I ended up being kept over night due to passing out and also needing to have my hemoglobin assessed because of so much blood loss. The nurses were so kind and one even opened up to me about her own miscarriage experience which was so helpful. I was disappointed by the lack of responsiveness during my recent visit. My sister, who was in a hallway bed and visibly cold, had to wait over 30 minutes for a warm blanket. I made the request to three different nurses. Unfortunately, the first two assured me they would bring one but never followed through. By the time I asked a third nurse—who seemed annoyed and told me I shouldn’t be there—it was clear the request had been overlooked or dismissed, possibly because my sister wasn’t assigned to them. Needed stitches for a head injury. In and out in under 3 hours yesterday. Friendly staff and very nice and thorough doctor, Dr Tim. Great care. Far faster than anything I’ve had in Toronto hospitals! Well done team!!

15month baby feeling terrible. After 5h wait I asked what was my position on the list. They said "tje doctor will see you AGAIN at some point". WE NEVER SAW A DOCTOR!! They somehow messed up my son's chart. I tried to tell them we never saw a doctor. The lady was rude to say the least. Now imagine being on the hospital with a crying baby from 4pm to 9pm and people telling you that a doctor will reassess you even though no one assed you in the first place. That is why I drive down to sickkids...
