This is not an honest guy. He used recycled parts for my car without letting me know it. He didn't even tighten the bolts fixing my wheels. I post my experience here to remind those who still use his service. It's better to find a certified mechanic for your safety.
We have been going to him for years (since at least 2007) and we trust him. He replaced my water pump and after not even 25,000 miles it needed to be replaced again. So he must have done a poor job on that. Also he sometimes uses your car to run errands. He is generally reliable and honest but doesn't really answer his phone. Because of this, you have to usually go to his shop to set up an appointment, especially in recent years since he is getting older.
