seems the modest means program is also some sort of scam i make under 25k a year and I got denied. I don't understand what the income guidelines are supposed to be or how they help. doesn't seem like they help. and god forbid a lawyer actually do pro bono work.
This service used to be great. But I will repeat what many others have already shared. I called to get a referral for a specific issue. The 1st lawyer I called 4 times and sent an email, their office staff just made excuses and never got back to me. The 2nd lawyer never called me back after leaving 3 messages. I won't bother getting a 3rd referral. Why does the service even exist if the Lawyers in your Program don't even respond to people? Just close the doors already.
I'm having difficulty w/a court appointed lawyer who has not contacted me but once in 7nth span . Since then I've had 3 warrants and added charges in result of his negligence.I contacted OSB 5 MNTHS AGO...NO RESPONSE,NOW IM UP AGAINST 2 STANDING WAREANTS AND A " GHOST" FOR A LAWYER. I am in distress w/ unwarranted charges and warrants....I need an advocate to appear w/ me.,ASAP. INNOCENT OUTLAW, CHRISTINE,A.
They give you referrals to lawyers who are not available and then say they can no longer give you different names as they only allow three numbers per year. Useless.
